Right after college I began my career in Whale research, working under a National Geographic grant, specializing in the Humpback whale's song. I spread my time between expeditions in Hawaii, the lab near Boston and my homestead in Vermont. I presently own an all natural home and body shop on Main Street in Montpelier. After my youngest leaves the nest I plan on returning to my original career, and spread my time once again between living on my sailboat, traveling the seas doing research and being home on my mountain in Vermont.
I am currently completing a masters in writing books for children and am going to be specializing in writing environmentally based picture books.
